Orders, MOQ and samples

What are your minimum order quantities (MOQ) and minimum order values? Can I order samples?

Catalogue designs: no minimum per design. Under the Partner Programme you pay 40%, 30% or 20% of MSRP (Starter, Growth or Partner) with a minimum order value of Rs 1,00,000, 3,00,000 or 5,00,000 (or 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 USD/EUR/GBP). Custom and private-label designs: samples are available for every design, so you can check our quality, craftsmanship and finishing before a bulk order. Our estimated quotation shows a sample price and MOQ price tiers based on metal and quantity:

  • Brass and 925 sterling silver: sample price; 10–25 pcs; 26–50 pcs; 51 pcs and above.
  • 9KT and 10KT solid gold: sample price; 10 pcs and above; 50 pcs and above.
  • 14KT solid gold: sample price; 5 pcs and above; 20 pcs and above.
  • 18KT solid gold: sample price; 3 pcs and above; 10 pcs and above.

What is your process for samples?

Share your design files or concept. We prepare an estimated quotation based on the design, metal weight and gemstone specifications. After the sample payment, we start CAD development and send the CAD for your approval. We then produce the prototype, complete the final sample and dispatch it with photographs, item details and tracking information.

What are your production timelines?

Samples usually take 2–3 weeks and bulk orders 4–6 weeks. Timelines can vary with design complexity, quantity, gemstone availability, approval times and seasonal schedules.

What is your monthly production capacity?

About 30,000 pieces per month, with the flexibility to scale for long-term programmes and high-volume orders.

Can I see your product catalogue?

Yes. More than 50,000 designs are online: silver and brass jewellery on dwsjewellery.com and solid gold jewellery on dwgjewellery.com, our sister brand.

Do you share product images and order details?

Yes. We provide 3–4 white-background images of each SKU. With every sample order or proforma invoice, and before dispatch, we share a dispatch sheet with gross weight, net weight, gemstone details and any special comments for the order.

Custom design, private label and exclusivity

Do you offer custom design and private-label production?

Yes. We manufacture custom designs to your approved technical specifications, including metal purity, plating thickness, gemstone quality, dimensions, finishing standards, logo engraving and packaging requirements where applicable. Sample production starts only after you approve the quotation and the CAD design. See also our custom and private-label manufacturing FAQ and custom jewellery manufacturing.

How do you keep our designs exclusive?

We sign a design exclusivity agreement, and our system places every exclusive design in a blocked category under your client code, so it is never shown or offered to anyone else or on any platform.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We are happy to sign a standard mutual NDA that protects your designs, concepts, product details and confidential business information. We do not sign service-level agreements that make every production stage a contractual obligation. Our standard process includes your approval of the CAD, a review of the cast piece and the final finished product before shipment, and we contact you with photos whenever your input is needed.

Do you offer custom packaging?

Not at present. We ship in secure export packaging, and we can use packaging supplied by you where feasible.

Materials, plating and gemstones

What materials do you work with?

Brass, 925 sterling silver and solid gold in 9K, 10K, 14K and 18K. All our jewellery is made with nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free materials in line with applicable international standards. Solid gold programmes are handled under our DWG brand.

What plating options are available?

Premium micron gold plating (1, 2 and 3 micron), gold vermeil at 2.5 micron in yellow and rose gold, white rhodium plating and silver plating.

Do you provide gold micron plating thickness certificates?

Yes. On request we provide XRF plating-thickness reports from our own Fischer XRF equipment, and for gold vermeil we can verify plating thickness to your requirements. Read more about our in-house Fischer XRF micron testing.

Is there a warranty on gold-plated jewellery?

We use premium micron plating with a UV protective coating to improve tarnish resistance. No plated jewellery is permanently tarnish-proof, but proper care and storage greatly extend the life of the plating, and plating complaints from our international customers have been extremely rare.

Do you make 316L stainless steel or PVD-plated jewellery?

No. We do not work with stainless steel or PVD plating. We make jewellery in solid gold, 925 sterling silver and nickel-free brass with premium micron plating, including gold vermeil, and a protective coating for better tarnish resistance.

Which gemstones do you work with?

All kinds of natural precious and semi-precious gemstones, lab-grown gemstones and lab-grown diamonds. We cut and polish many gemstones in-house; see our gemstone manufacturing.

Quality, certifications and testing

What certifications and sustainability standards do you have? Are you EU / REACH compliant?

DWS Jewellery Private Limited is certified to the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Code of Practices (certificate 0000 7327, valid until 8 April 2029) and our facility is Sedex SMETA 4-Pillar audited. Our jewellery is made with nickel-free, lead-free and cadmium-free materials. On request we can arrange third-party laboratory testing for regulations such as EU REACH, and we provide metal and plating-thickness reports from our Fischer XRF equipment.

What are your finishing and quality standards?

Every piece goes through several in-process quality inspections and a final inspection before shipment. Our checks include XRF metal analysis, plating-thickness verification, dimensional checks, stone-setting inspection, finishing inspection and packaging verification. You may also appoint an independent inspection agency or laboratory.

Do you offer third-party quality inspection and certification?

Yes, as an option. For metal quality we can arrange IGI (International Gemological Institute) Metal QC, an independent inspection alongside our own quality control, and we can share the IGI Metal QC procedure before you choose it. For gemstones we can arrange certification by IGI or the IIGJ Laboratory (Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery, GJEPC). Your CRM representative will confirm costs, lead times and options.

Shipping

How do you ship international orders?

We mainly ship with UPS and FedEx. Small parcels such as samples and prototypes go by courier. Shipping charges vary with the parcel's weight, size and destination; your CRM representative will confirm them for your order.
